Full-Time in Indianapolis, IN - Mid Level - Accounting

We are looking for an experienced and driven accounting professional to execute, organize and oversee all accounting functions of the company. This role is critical to our current and future success as this individual will be responsible for producing timely and accurate financials to inform real time strategic decision making by the company.

Primary Duties:

  • Executes and oversees the production of all financial reports; ensures that the reported results are timely, accurate and comply with general accepted accounting principles.
  • Owns and oversees AP, AR, bank account reconciliations, all payment and expense matching.
  • Directly supervises the accounting team, reports to the CFO.
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
  • Works with external auditors to complete annual audits.
  • Works with external accounting firm to complete all tax related items.
  • Tracks and provides monthly and annual KPI data.

Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years of Accounting and Finance experience required
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel
  • Tax and Compliance experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA license highly preferred

This is an in-office position in downtown Indianapolis four days/week, with work from home Fridays.
